Whole 30 Day 2



So this picture sums up how I feel today! I am definitely in a hungover state.
I woke up at 1:00 am with an excruciating
 headache.  It was AWFUL! I took some meds and was able to fall right back asleep.  When I woke up for the day, I still had a headache and have had one on and off for most of the day, though after lunch it was much more bearable.

I really like the Day-by-Day article Whole9 posted about how you will feel during the 30 days.

FYI: I updated Day 1 and will from now on include what the picture of my meal actually includes.  I don't know why I didn't think about including it from the beginning! haha Thanks for the comments :)

Meal #1
Egg (4) omelette with mushrooms and spinach and coconut oil.
Butternut squash topped with a little cinnamon.  Cutie

I again ate at the kitchen table alone :(  Lee was already off to work.  Making breakfast was kind of a chore this morning because I just felt so blah! I wanted to get back into bed OR drive through Bread Co. on my way into work, but let's be honest, I knew some of you would be looking to see what I ate today and so I sucked it up.  Thanks for the motivation people!!!




Meal #2


This salad was SOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!
Salad greens, asparagus, can of tuna, whole avocado,
topped with my left over salad dressing
from last night (EVOO and balsamic).
Definitely felt a lot better by lunch time.  Maybe it was because my salad was so AMAZING?!?!? Isn't it beautiful?!? haha I will say I am not a cook, so you should not follow me to find out awesome new recipes.  I am more a throw it together kinda person.  I should be a good cook considering I grew up with my Gram's cooking but I just am not.  If I do make an actual recipe at some point I will always include the link for your info!



Meal #3

So pretty! So many colors!

Dinner was so good!!! Lee even liked the stir-fry (minus the mushrooms)! I was pretty surprised.  I made the stir-fry while Lee made the salad and cleaned up dishes as I went (thanks hunnie for your help!). We had a side salad with left over dressing from last night. So good!

Shrimp Stir Fry: shrimp (duh! haah), coconut aminos, coconut oil,
snow peas, carrots, yellow pepper, red pepper,
green pepper, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and mushrooms)

Exercise

I had ZERO energy today.  I usually would have gone ahead and pushed myself to work out but the book specifically said to take it easy this week so I listened to my body and did not work out.

Whole30 Day 2 - Wrap-Up

The first part of the day was pretty rough, not gonna lie. I started to feel much better after lunch and felt decent the rest of the night.  The slight headache was always there, though.  I wasn't hungry most of the day either, but I think it was mostly because I was pushing water to deal with the headache.  I hope this part is over soon!

  1. I luv the Yogi Bedtime tea! I always end my evening with it. Sorry you had a rough day, but I'm proud of you! And your meals look amazing!!! Can't wait to hear what tomorrow brings.
