Whole30 Day 8

I slept great last night!  I woke up feeling great and have had energy all day.  This must have been what everyone has been talking about! :)

Meal #1
Eggs (4), butternut squash, grapes, broccoli.
Note - I didn't eat the grapes or half of the broccoli - too full.

I was happy to be eating breakfast at my breakfast table this morning!  Who would have ever thought?! haha I don't know why I wasn't able to eat all my food today because it was the same portion size but I just new I was full and didn't need to eat any more.  I even wanted to eat the grapes to end on a sweet note but didn't because (1) I knew I was full and (2) the book talks about not replacing a sweet tooth with fruit so I just packed it up for later.  I was proud of myself!



Snack

I ate a handful of almonds before I went to the gym during my lunch.


Meal #2
Salad greens, tuna, avocado, and EVOO/Balsamic.
Sweet potato with cinnamon.
Left over broccoli from this morning

I cannot believe I am not tired of this lunch yet! haha I am sure you are tired of seeing tuna salads but at least I am changing up the sides each time :)  I was super hungry after working out so this was great.  I even brought those grapes I didn't eat for breakfast to have with lunch but didn't need them because I was full and satisfied.






Meal #3
Scallops, green beans, and asperagus.
And I stole Lee's pickles :)



We went out to dinner tonight for my friend Lisa's birthday to Houlihan's.  I was excited to go out for Lisa's birthday plus I know Houlihan's always has some good options that should be Whole30 compliant.  Dinner was super yummy!







Exercise





I finally felt like working out again today!!!
I was so excited.  I went to the gym at lunch and
did 46 minutes on the elliptical.  YAY!!! And I of
course did my stretching afterwards :)





Whole30 Day 8 - Wrap-Up

I felt great all day today!  I hope this keeps up!
