Whole30 Day 11
Today as a whole was OK. Last night I slept great again, another 8 hours and only woke up once and it was because a kitten decided to try to walk on our faces! I had super vivid dreams again last night, which I never do. I had a lot of energy today until about midday but I believe it has more to do with PMS than with Whole30. I was pretty tired on and off most of the afternoon/evening so we went out for dinner, which was nice because I was able to stay on the plan without just giving into something easy for carryout.
I figured out what my tummy issue from the other day came from - see Meal #3 below!

This is the super expensive 1/2 pound of bacon I bought today! |
So on a side note, for those that know me, most know I have been a vegetarian for almost four years and recently (probably six-ish months have become a pescetarian). I have been tossing around the idea of introducing other animal flesh into my diet and have finally made the leap. I guess I will for technical reasons consider myself now a "selective omnivore " I plan to only eat where I (as well as can be know) know that it was humanely raised and fed what it should have been bed and not given antibiotics or hormones. This means for the most part I will only be eating this other animal flesh at home, because we do not live in an area where there are grass-fed steaks on the menu. I have always been open about my reasoning to go vegetarian and it has always been animal treatment. I do not have a problem with people eating animals. My problem is with how they are treated during the months or years they are on this earth. I always thought I just needed to give up meat totally to support my ideals, but the more I have researched the more I have learned how much more it can say by putting my money towards those companies and local farms and restaurants that make the conscious decision to treat their animals the way they deserve to live. My first meal with meat will be tomorrow morning! I'll update you all on how it goes tomorrow :)
Exercise

I went to the gym at lunch and did 30 min on the treadmill. Same circuit as Tuesday - 3.4 speed then 5 min/5 incline, 5 min/10 incline, 5 min/15 incline, 5 min/10 incline, 5 min/5 incline, 1 min at each incline down (4, 3, 2, 1, 0). Drenched again!
Then I did a few machines to easy back into lifting because I haven't lifted in over a month and I was sore already from yoga. I did the Shoulder Press, Pull Down and Chest Press. Then I finished up with some stretching.

I use my new shoes, too!!!
Aren't they the cutest?!?! |
Food
 |
Meal #2 Tuna salad (greens, tuna, EVOO/Balsamic), avocado, carrots, green beans. |
 |
Meal #1 Eggs (4) in coconut oil, sweet potato with ghee and cinnamon, spinach salad with EVOO/Balsamic |
 |
Meal #3 We went out to Thai Taste. I had Tom Kar (only ate half) and a spicy shrimp yum salad. Not a fan of the salad so I probably won't order it again. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tom Kar, however, I think I found out what maid my tummy so upset a few days ago...too much Tom Kar!!! It is super rich because of the coconut milk so I guess from now on, only a tiny Tom Kar for me!
